The Grafton Historical Society, established in 1981, is organized to collect, preserve, interpret and share historical records and artifacts. It actively shares items and topics of local interest and significance through lectures, exhibits, programs and publications. In addition, it does provide local genealogy assistance.
The Society meets monthly, April through December, with a program or activity of local interest.
Current officers are: President - Jeffrey Paine
Vice President - Ken Niebuhr
Secretary - Betsye Mowry
Treasurer - Joseph Ferrannini
Among its resources, the Society has a collection associated with Mina Hydorn which includes scanned diaries and other correspondence, some with transcriptions, pictures and other written records. Contact Jeffrey Paine at firstname.lastname@example.org for a list of the scanned records available online as well as hardcopy.
